Key indices Nifty50 climbed over 50 points to trade above 18,200 levels, whereas the S&P BSE Sensex rose over 300 points to hit day’s high of 61,392 levels.
Broader markets, too, inched higher as Nifty MidCap 100 and Nifty SmallCap 100 indices advanced up to 1 per cent.
All sectors traded on a positive note, with Nifty PSU Bank, Nifty Metal, and Nifty IT indices rising up to 1 per cent.
